SOUTHERN ONTARIO SPRINTS PR: 2016 SEASON STARTS SATURDAY!
By Tommy Goudge (May 17, 2016) - London, Ontario - The 21st season of Southern Ontario Sprints series racing begins this Saturday, May 21 when the tour heads to Brighton Speedway.
NOCO Fuels, Mix 97, and Sanderson Tire & Automotive present the first of 6 scheduled SOS visits this season to the 1/3 mile oval located on the shores of Lake Ontario.
The SOS tour has raced at Brighton 96 times since 1997, with Rick Wilson’s 22 wins topping the all-time list at the Northumberland County track. Glenn Styres scored 2 Brighton wins last season, while Cory Turner, Charlie Sandercock, Rick Wilson, and Mitch Brown also claimed wins at Brighton in 2015.
Mitch Brown claimed his first SOS championship last season, with 5-time SOS champion Glenn Styres and 2013 SOS champion Chris Jones finishing 2nd and 3rd in the 2015 championship standings, respectively.
