SOS TOUR HEADS FOR SOUTH BUXTON & HUMBERSTONE DOUBLE HEADER
(June 1, 2017) - London, Ontario - The 22st season of Southern Ontario Sprints series racing continues this weekend when the tour heads to South Buxton Raceway and Humberstone Speedway for the second and third rounds of the 2017 calendar. With $1,200 to win on the line both nights.
Dylan Westbrook scored the season opening race win and once again leads the SOS championship points standings heading into this weekend's events. Mitch Brown and brother Jake Brown will be looking to return to victory lane with Glenn Styres also having the events on his schedule.
The Saturday, June 3rd event is the first of two scheduled SOS races at South Buxton Raceway in 2017. Teams will head to the western most stop on the series tour where the SOS have raced at South Buxton 37 times since the tour's first ever event in 1996, with Mike Ling's 5 wins topping the all-time list at the unique 1/3 mile D-shaped track. Dylan Westbrook scored his first ever 360 winged sprint car victory at South Buxton in 2016.
The tour will head east on Sunday, June 4th for the first of two scheduled SOS events at Humberstone Speedway in 2017. The SOS tour has raced at Humberstone 14 times since 2002, with Glenn Styres' 3 wins topping the all-time list at the 1/3 mile oval track. Dylan Westbrook and Ryan Susice scored Humberstone SOS wins in 2016.
